APRIL 2007 CLUB MEETING - Inside Out Turning
Main Demo
|
Our main demo this month was from Ian Hooker who rose manfully to the challenge when Ian Dudley had to postpone his fruit-turning demo for a month due to work commitments. We look forward to getting fruity next month instead!
So "Inside-Out Turning" was therefore the order of the day. In case you're thinking that turning is hard enough the right way round, click here for a tutorial on "Inside-Out Turning" based on Ian's demo. Just in case you're wondering what it's all about, here's a picture of a Christmas ornament constructed using the Inside-Out technique. |

Show & Tell
Clive, our usual photographer was also prevented from attending by work commitments this month so your's truly wandered around snapping everything in sight. Unfortunately I didn't note down the names of who made what so I do apologise if I haven't credited the maker of every piece with a mention. If you'd like to own up to the pieces you made I'll happily make the necessary amendments.
Maker: Not sure Ian Hooker Maker: Not sure Ian Hooker - Timber supplied by his grandaughter during a walk in the woods. Ron Headon Ken Crittle - Bird feeder using stave construction.
